How blockchain technology could revolutionise the insurance industry
Rules of the Game
- All teams will include and use AWS blockchain environment to produce their solution
- This is a team event, with each team ideally comprising of up to 5 members
- Teams must live in the APAC region
- You can either invite your friends to form a team or can request other teams to add you as a member
- There is only 1 theme of the hackathon, and you must submit a hack according to the theme
- You are expected to come up with original ideas. Any idea that is found to be copied will be disqualified
- Your hack must be developed entirely during the Hackathon duration (Finals). You may use open source libraries and other freely available systems / services such as Google Maps, Facebook Connect, Twitter feeds etc.
- A working prototype must be ready by the end of the Hackathon
Critieria of Assement
Phase one – Evaluation of ideas:
- Innovativeness – Market relevance – is this an exciting application for subscribers or businesses
- Quality and clarity of presentation
- Appropriate selection of APIs – have to use at least ONE Aegon API
- Ease of use – is the application easy to use and has good ergonomics appropriate selection of APIs – Use of diverse industries – in addition to telecommunications APIs if other APIs where used such as government, weather, business, tax code, etc
- Cost – how much will this cost users? (Free, non free, advertising)
Phase two – Evaluation of implementation:
- Quality and clarity of presentation – the format, color schemes, design, etc
- Functionality – is the application useful
- Efficiency (network load) – not incurring too much latency, an acceptable response time for all actions
- Over all User Experience
